FAQ

Commody is a collectible car platform that offers automotive enthusiasts worldwide the opportunity to co-own the most exclusive collectible cars.

Commody combines real assets – collectible cars – with the virtual world through the principle of NFT transaction (digital contract), thus virtually “dividing” normally indivisible items. Example:

The owner of a collectible car decides to sell 30% of his car, which is worth EUR 100,000. 30% of the car is converted into an agreed amount of collectible car units – e.g. 1,000 units, the value of each of which is EUR 30.

These 1,000 collectible units are available for purchase on the Commody platform. Once all the collectibles are sold, trading will continue among buyers who have already purchased the collectibles.

The first car offered on Commody platform is a 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo, known as the 996. In the future, we plan to offer more unique collector cars with historical or collector value and the potential for growth in value.

After registering and creating an account on the Commody platform, you will have access to:

  • the list of collectible cars with the showroom of each of them – a detailed description of the car, photos, history and historical changes in the value of such cars;
  • advance reservations of collector car units;
  • early bird announcements about the start of trade in collectible car units.

We are currently inviting you to register on the Commody platform by creating an account and stand in the “live queue” to become a shareholder of the exclusive 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo, also known as the 996. We plan that in the second half of the year the car will be “unlocked” and there will be a real opportunity to purchase its collector units and become a co-owner of this model.

The value of the car is determined by the collector selling the car through the Commody platform.

Yes, such a feature is planned for the near future – at the end of this year/early next year, a trading feature will be launched, where it will be possible to buy collectible car units sold by other Commody users or sell your own.

Everyone who has purchased collectible car units will be officially registered in the state car registry as co-owners in the country where the car is also registered.

The cars sold on the platform will be insured and their operation will be subject to very strict collector/historic car requirements, such as car mileage, storage conditions, etc.

According to the rules of Commody, the main original owner will store, maintain, and operate the car, so co-owners of collectible car units will not have the opportunity to drive the car.
